Byron Thom is a Principal at Framework Venture Partners. Based in Vancouver, he has over 15 years of experience in the technology, startup and privacy sectors, and within the technology ecosystem in various capacities. Prior to joining Framework, Byron was an Associate Director at the BDC IT Venture Fund, where he helped source deals, complete due diligence, and provide strategic and operational advice while sitting as a director or observer on multiple companies, including Lemonstand, QuickMobile Inc. (sold to Cvent), Cymax, and Mobify. Prior to making the move to venture capital, Byron was founder and general counsel of Optigo Networks, an early stage technology company in the building IoT sector. He also has legal experience as a practicing lawyer in the technology space and engineering experience working in the robotics and telecom industries.
