I graduated with an engineering degree from UCalgary in 2005 and started my career in the energy
industry. I have been fortunate to combine experiences in energy and sustainability; both
understanding company value and the risks they face. My projects include the integration of renewable
and distributed generation, electricity storage, smart grid projects and both conventional and SAGD
operational management. I was a Manager in Deloitte’s Sustainability practice before pursuing my own

Today, as the president of The Viridis Group, I, along with a team of passionate entrepreneurs, create
and inspire innovation. We have been involved in 19 ventures to date ranging from nuclear energy to
consulting, technology to industrial composting. Although we have had 7 failures, we have 3 successful
exits and there continues to be a number of incredible opportunities in our current portfolio. The Viridis
Group provides seed funding and angel investing, and supports ventures with knowledge and resources.

In my other role as CEO of Vario Ventures, we specialize in identifying the right next step for
entrepreneurs and their investors. Our goal is to free up investor capital and make the entrepreneurial
lifecycle more successful. We do this by identifying opportunities for our clients and managing the
process to successful completion. For entrepreneurs, we roadmap the path to acquisition, partnership,
and other divestitures from our experience building and selling our own companies. For acquirers, we
represent hundreds of Angel and Venture backed companies across multiple industries with valuations
from $1M to $20M. Vario Ventures was born from the entrepreneurial community in West Canada, and
through this network we focus on understanding the stage of your business and identifying the right
partners, the right buyer and sellers, and the right sources for capital. Vario Ventures strives to provide
low-up front service fees, to share the transaction risk with entrepreneurs. This builds off our core value
of collaboration, and allows us to work with the clients where we believe we can add value.
