Isaac Kato is Managing Director of Techstars’ Seattle Accelerator. Techstars is a global startup ecosystem that helps entrepreneurs succeed. Isaac is a serial entrepreneur, technology leader, and investor. Before Techstars, Mr. Kato served as President of Mighty AI, which was acquired by Uber. He has co-founded two companies – the first, Sven Technologies, was a 3D graphics software startup he co-founded, ran, and sold to a public CAD software company. From 2007-2017, he was co-founder and CFO of Verne Global, an Icelandic data center developer and operator, where he raised $200M of equity and debt capital and led several functions. Today, Verne is one of the largest third party data centers in the Nordic area. He has also spent a decade as a VC and growth equity investor, most recently with General Catalyst Partners. He is also an active angel investor. Isaac holds an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School, and an MS and BS from Stanford University.
