John Lombard has lived and worked in China for 25 years, during which time he started three successful businesses, and consulted for numerous multinationals including Siemens, P&G, Lenovo, Maersk, and more. Based on his experience and knowledge of Chinese culture, he was selected to be the personal trainer to the Mayor of Beijing during the bid for the 2008 Olympic Games. He served on the Board of Directors of the Canada-China Business Council in Beijing, and co-founded an NGO to help a Chinese ethnic minority group, the Mosuo. Returning to Canada one year ago, he has started his latest business venture, "The Language of Culture", which does Cultural Diversity training and consulting for North American businesses; and continues to work with Canadian companies to help them be more successful in China.
